What is phishing?
Phishing occurs through emails, SMS, chat messages, or other forms of communication that mimic official messages. The goal is to lure you into actions such as:
- Sharing personal information like usernames, passwords, or credit card details
- Opening malicious links or files.
Example:
Fake investment proposals or forged invoices from a so-called business partner.
How to recognise phishing?
Phishing messages often use:
- Language expressing urgency (“Your account will be blocked!”)
- Links that do not lead to an official website
- Unexpected attachments or requests for personal information
What can you do?
- Never click on suspicious links or attachments
- Always check the sender’s email address and the website URL
- If in doubt, contact your Client Advisor or our helpdesk immediately.
