What is impersonation?

In this type of fraud, a scammer contacts you by phone, email, or even in person, pretending to work for InsingerGilissen or Quintet. They often use real names and job titles to appear credible.

Examples:

  • You receive a phone call from someone claiming to be your Client Advisor, but the call comes from an unknown phone number
  • You get an email with the name of an InsingerGilissen employee, but the email address is not from our official domain (@insingergilissen.nl)
  • Someone shows up at your door claiming to represent the bank for a “security check”.

How to recognise impersonation?

  • The contact is unexpected and outside your usual communication channels
  • You are asked for personal details, payments, or access to your account
  • The email address, phone number, or behavior differs from what you are used to.

What can you do?

  • Always ask for the person’s name and write it down
  • Never share personal details or codes until you are certain the contact is legitimate
  • If in doubt, contact your Client Advisor or our helpdesk immediately.
