How Finner works
Finner.nl evaluates asset managers on 25 components and 80 criteria in the areas of organisation, cost policy, investment policy and risk policy. Points can be awarded for each component.
Organisation
A check is made on the presence of the right licences (AFM, DNB), registration with Kifid and DSI and various quality requirements. In addition, the track record and the size of the assets under management are assessed.
Cost policy
On the basis of current portfolios, the level, conditions and transparency of all costs are assessed on the basis of the latest laws and regulations (MifidII). Undesirable earning models and proper information provision are also examined.
Investment policy
The transparency and reliability of the returns, the independence of the policy (own products) and the principles and safeguards of the policy are validated on the basis of investment portfolios.
Risk policy
The transparency of risks and communication to customers about risks is assessed. The insight into the risk profiles is tested, as well as the risk policy pursued and how the monitoring of investment risks takes place. Finner objectively compares private banks and asset managers in terms of organisation, cost policy, investment policy and risk policy. We receive the highest possible rating of five stars in each area and score - according to the comparison site - better than other private banks.
